Saved chats

Use Saved chats, the speech-bubbles button next to the attachment button, to choose New chat or reopen an earlier conversation. Chats save automatically; you do not need to clear your current conversation to start another one. Your existing conversations remain under Original chat.

Type /chat to see your chats directly in the suggestion box, with New chat at the top. Click a chat or use the arrow keys and Enter to select it. Keep typing a chat’s name to filter the list, or send /chat new to start a new conversation directly. These commands keep any unsent attachments in the current chat.

Each chat keeps its own message history, model context, composer drafts, and pending sends. A reply already running stays in its original chat when you switch. Return to that chat to see its progress or finished response. Chats survive page reloads and server restarts, and separate browser tabs can open different chats.

New chats take their title from the first message. Search the list to find a conversation, or use Rename to name the current saved chat. The current name appears above the composer. Each agent has its own history within a saved chat.

Use Delete beside a saved chat in the chat-button list to remove its history and drafts. Confirm the deletion to continue; it cannot be undone. Finish running replies and stop or finish that chat’s running tasks first. Deleting the open chat returns its browser tabs to Original chat. Scheduled tasks created in the deleted chat are paused for review. Shared project content and uploaded files remain available.

Inside a project, the switcher lists that project’s chats. Those chats share the project’s brief, files, goals, and saved progress while keeping their conversation histories separate. General chats and other projects are separate. Your profile’s standing preferences, explicitly saved memories, agents, and connected services remain available. Saved chats do not automatically feed their conversations into general conversation memory.

Unsent text and uploaded attachment drafts stay in this browser. Wait for an attachment upload to finish before switching. Sent messages and chat names are stored on the server under your profile and included in profile backups. Each conversation follows OE’s existing history and model-context retention limits.

Clear session and /clear still clear the selected agent’s context in the current chat. To preserve a conversation and start fresh, use New chat instead.
